Orlando, Florida hosts Tipon Silliman 2009

Tipon Silliman 2009 was held on July 9 to 13, 2009 at the Royal Plaza Hotel in Disney World, Orlando, Florida with the theme: Leaving Our Imprint for Tomorrow: Raising the Bar of Excellence.

It was a week-long of meetings and updating from top officials of Silliman University and the Silliman Alumni Association, Inc. and a reunion of classmates and friends from different organizations and fraternities.

The welcome night brought laughter and standing ovation when the delegates presented a dance number representing the different decades from the year 1901. What made the night great was a folk dance number rendered by the delegation from the campus. Prof. Jocelyn De la Cruz, Dr. Nichol Elman and Yolanda “Inday” Maxino danced the Jota Manileña.
